Apply to join the Core Competency Framework Working Group

FCI invites applications to join a Working Group for implementing the Core Competency Framework

A working group is being established to develop and oversee plans for implementing the Core Competency Framework (CCF) in practice in health and social care.

Applications are invited from Fellows and Members to join the working group.  Working group members are expected to have one or more of the following areas of knowledge to an advanced level:

  • Processes involved in accreditation of courses and qualifications in clinical informatics in the UK.

  • The regulatory framework and professional appraisal and revalidation processes for regulated health and social care professionals.

  • Undergraduate and postgraduate educational providers and processes for developing education and training courses and materials for clinical informaticians.

  • Organisations responsible for setting curricula for undergraduate and postgraduate education and the processes involved.

  • Use of competencies in the development of job descriptions and assigning grades to roles.  

The Faculty is a diverse organisation and welcomes applications from across the range of disciplines, genders, ethnicity and home nations making up Faculty membership.
