Once advised to do so, new and renewing members may pay their annual subscription by clicking the appropriate link for their member category, which will take them to the WorldPay online payment portal.
Reduced subscription can be claimed by those who are: retired, on maternity/paternity leave, unpaid sabbatical leave, on a salary of less than £25,000 per annum, or are already members of three or more other professional membership bodies*, excluding the Faculty (where being a member of such a body is a legal requirement to practice as a health or social care professional but not including PSA registered bodies or unions). Associates who are full-time students will be able to join the Faculty for a fee of £10.
If you are eligible for reduced subscription, please email email@example.com with supporting evidence, before submitting payment.
If you have any queries please email these to firstname.lastname@example.org.
* For a professional membership body to be included in this discount category, membership must be a legal requirement to practice as a clinician in health and social care, e.g. if you are an orthopaedic surgeon in a hospital, then you have to be a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) to work as a surgeon, i.e. the Trust would suspend your employment if you were not a member of the RCS. Therefore, the RCS is included, but you do not need to be a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, so that would not be eligible.
Exclusions are PSA recognised professional registration bodies, such as the GMC or GPhC, and unions, e.g. the BMA is a union and you do not need to be a member of the BMA to practice as a clinician, although it is advised.
